Palm tree care is different for a queen palm when it’s at the growing stage. If you’ve recently purchased a nursery grown palm and you want it to grow healthily and beautifully, you have to take extra care with planting it.

For the most part, you have to pick a place where there’s enough space for the tree to grow. Remember, these trees can grow up to 50 feet. You also have to provide enough space for the leaves of the tree. While it’s true that you’ll be pruning away some of the leaves, you’ll leave more of the fronds in the tree to keep it strong.

Plant the queen palm in a spot where the soil is moist but well drained. A good spot with direct sunlight is also as important. Water your palm regularly, about three times a day so that it can get acclimated to its new home. Palm tree care for a transplanted tree takes a little more work but well worth it.

Sometimes simple things make life that little bit easier. Take a flat free wheelbarrow tyre for example. Not the most exciting thing in the world but it makes a big difference over the long term. This is something that is invaluable when it comes to saving money. You will never again have to pump up or replace a tyre for your wheelbarrow.

But it also makes you more efficient as well. It allows for much heavier loads in your wheel barrow as the tyres are build to withstand huge pressure. So you can use less trips to get common garden tasks done and this is going to allow you to be a lot more productive.

Plus never having the hassle of repairing a tube or buying a new wheel really does make the minimum investment more than worthwhile. They can be bought chaply online and they are a very good buy indeed.

My wife and I were never really big into the great outdoors, but one day our little girl Sydney got it into her head that she wanted a garden, so we went along with the plan, knowing it was a good thing for children to see not only the source of some of our food, but also the really amazing science that plants’ growth displays. We were blown away at how fun it was, and the next year we decided that we would actually buy a greenhouse, too, to grow some of the plants that we could not grow due to our chilly climate, like tomatoes. We went online to do some searching around, and eventually we found a good source of Backyard Greenhouses that we could assemble ourselves at a low cost. The three of us went in the yard to put our little growing chamber together, and then we got to the business of growing. I love it so much.
